We know how you feel! It’s never easy to be a first-time guest, and we want you feel right at home with us. Here are a few answers to the questions you might be asking. . .
-
What time does your service start?
Our worship service is on Sunday mornings at 10:30, and folks typically start arriving around 10:15. We always have a Welcome Team ready to greet guests at the door and point you in the right direction.
-
What should I wear?
There is no dress code at Central, and you will see people dressed in everything from jeans to a suit. Most folks wear what you would call “business casual.” We care about you, not what you wear. Come dressed as you feel most comfortable.
-
What is a worship service like?
Our worship services are typically about one hour and fifteen minutes long. We open with a time of welcome and singing. Don’t worry if you don’t know the songs—you can just enjoy listening or feel free to join in! We sing a combination of classic hymns and modern Gospel songs to our amazing God, with a spirit of reverence and joy.
We usually take a moment to welcome our guests (don’t worry, we won’t single you out or ask you to say anything!). We will give you a welcome card to share a little bit about yourself with us. You can write as much as you feel comfortable on the card, and your information will be kept confidential.
The main part of the service is our time of learning from God’s Word, the Bible. Our Lead Pastor or a special speaker will share a message that is timely, uplifting, and practical. If you have a Bible, feel free to bring it with you. If you don’t have one, we will be happy to share one of our ours with you.
There is usually an offering taken during the service, which is an opportunity for our members to give to support the church. We don’t expect our guests to participate, and you will never feel pressured to give.
-
Can I talk with a Pastor?
Yes, we would love to meet you! Our Pastoral Team and their wives will be in the lobby and Crossway section after the service, and we would be delighted to say hello and learn about your visit with us. If you have more questions and would like to talk with someone in a more confidential setting, we will set up a time to meet at the earliest opportunity.
-
I have kids, so where do they go?
We have a thriving children’s program, and your kids are welcome! When you arrive, ask to be directed to our Kid Zone. Little ones from six weeks to age three will be cared for in our clean, well-staffed nursery. Kids age 4 through 5th grade will have their own morning service with age-appropriate Bible teaching, games, singing, and snacks. Kids 6th grade and up are welcome to join us in the main worship service. We take the safety and security of our children very seriously. Our Kid Zone workers are caring and experienced, and each are vetted with a background check before joining the ministry.

I’ve never tried out church. I’m not sure what to do.
You’ve come to the right place! Central is home to people of all different backgrounds and walks of life. Whether this is your first time visiting any church, or you grew up in another Baptist church, you will feel welcome with us. Our heartbeat is that you will truly feel at home.
-
What if I’m not a Baptist?
The word “Baptist” can mean different things to different people—especially so in the last few decades. Our focus here at Central is not whether or not you are a Baptist. Rather, it is helping you connect to the fulfillment and healing that comes from knowing Jesus Christ.
