God has graciously provided a team of shepherds to minister to the flock at Central Baptist Church.
Dr. Bruce Barton, Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church since 2006, is a Biblicist, first and foremost teaching no-nonsense Bible truths with natural humor and illustrations. He is uncompromising with the Word of God. Pastor and Donna have been married for 36 years, meeting at Tennessee Temple University as students, and they are parents to three children. Their son Bradley, a US Air Force Tech Sergeant, is married to Dakota, and they live in Little Rock, AR with their daughter Charlotte. Brady, a Lending Department Supervisor for Tyndall Bank, is married to Savannah, and they live in Panama City Beach, FL. Joanna, a certified Dental Hygienist, is dating Ethan Blackwood (US Army Medic), and she lives in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
Pastor Barton has had successful pastorates in Virginia, Alabama, and North Carolina, before coming to Florida. His vision for Central Baptist Church is large, building upon the great foundations of our church’s 65 year heritage. His strategic leadership has been the facilitator for preparing our church for the future with Biblical soundness for productive ministries.
Bill Crittenden began serving as Music Minister of Central Baptist Church in 1998. He graduated with a B.S. in Building Construction from the University of Florida and married Wanda in 1984. They have two sons. Heath and his wife Amber live in Tampa, FL with their three boys. Bret and his wife Lauren live in Tacoma, WA. Music is a vital part of all our ministries and our focus is to provide a musical environment which exalts the name of Christ, encourages the soul of the believer, and prepares the heart for the preaching of God’s word.
Chuck Giambra began working in the Children’s Ministry in 1978 shortly after he was saved. Chuck has worked in all aspects of the children’s ministry. Including Children’s Church, AWANA, Sunday School, and the Bus Ministry. Chuck was ordained at Central Baptist Church in 1980. Chuck was married at Central Baptist Church in 1981 to Mischelle. He has three children Jonathan, Charity, and Joshua. He has one grandson Thomas. Chuck’s desire as Children’s Director is for our children to get grounded in the Word so they make the correct decisions in life.
