Bruce Barton
Senior Pastor
Dr. Bruce Barton, Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church since 2006, is a Biblicist, first and foremost teaching no-nonsense Bible truths with natural humor and illustrations. He is uncompromising with the Word of God. Pastor and Donna have been married for 42 years, meeting at Tennessee Temple University as students, and they are parents to three children. Their son Bradley, a US Air Force Second Lieutenant/Intelligence Division, is married to Dakota, and they live in Ft. Walton Beach, FL with their two children, Charlotte and Rhett. Brady, a Regional Branch Manager for Tyndall Federal Credit Union, is married to Savannah, and they live in Panama City Beach, FL with their two children, Violet. and Brady. Joanna, a certified Dental Hygienist, is married to Evan, and they live in Fayetteville, NC with their golden retriever, Benny.
Pastor Barton had successful pastorates in Virginia, Alabama, and North Carolina, before coming to Florida. His vision for Central Baptist Church is large, building upon the great foundations of our church’s 70-year heritage. His strategic leadership has been the facilitator for preparing our church for the future with Biblical soundness for productive ministries.
Chuck Giambra
Children's Pastor
Chuck Giambra began working in the Children’s Ministry in 1978 shortly after he was saved. Chuck has worked in all aspects of the children’s ministry. Including Children’s Church, AWANA, Sunday School, and the Bus Ministry. Chuck was ordained at Central Baptist Church in 1980. Chuck was married at Central Baptist Church in 1981 to Mischelle. They have three grown children--Jonathan, Charity, and Joshua--and three grandchildren. Chuck’s desire as Children’s Director is for our children to get grounded in the Word of God so they make the correct decisions in life, while serving the Lord.
Buddy Maynard
Pastor’s Assistant
Rev. Buddy Maynard directs the Music and Youth in our church since 2024. He was called to preach in 1978, graduated from Liberty Baptist College in 1985 with a Pastoral Ministries major and furthered his education in 2016 with a Masters Degree in Education. He has been married to Christina for 38 years, who is a Nurse Practitioner for a non-profit in Panama City. They have three grown sons and fourteen grandchildren. His experience has ranged from a Senior Pastor for 13 years, a Director for a troubled boy’s home for 28 years, and a Representative for a Bible publishing company. Their desire is to model Christ to our young people practically and socially so they can become well rounded believers when adults.
