Student Ministries
Our Mission
Exalting/Glorifying the Lord
(Ephesians 4:11-13)
Our mission is to develop mature Christian adults through a complete discipleship process.
Our desire is for our young people to grow into:
- Adults that are EQUIPPED! (vs. 12a)
- Adults that are EDIFYING! (vs.12c.)
- Adults that are EXPERIENCED/EVANGELIZING! (vs. 12b)
Purpose of Youth Ministry:
- To preach Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, buried, risen, and coming again.
- To present the way of salvation in Jesus Christ to the lost.
- To build up the saints in their faith through regular worship services, prayer services, and Bible study with Christian testimony.
What Does Sigma Mean?
- Sigma is the Greek equivalent to our letter “S”. It represents the fivefold goal that we have for every teen who enters our youth group.
- Salvation (John 3:16) Every teen should have accepted Christ as his personal Savior.
- Student of the Word (Joshua 1:8) Every teen should have a regular time of reading and learning about God’s Word on his own.
- Soul Burdened (Acts 1:8) Every teen should be actively witnessing to the unsaved about the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Servant’s Heart (Matthew 20:26-28) Every teen should have a desire to serve others and minister for the Lord.
- Separated and Surrendered to Christian Service (Proverbs 3:6) Every teen should not feel life ends after leaving the youth group. He should consider how he can honor the Lord as he enters a new stage of life.
